About The Position

The Human Resources Representative provides day-to-day support for core HR operations in a consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing environment. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and supervisors by assisting with onboarding, employee records, recruiting coordination, benefits and leave questions, policy guidance, compliance activities, and routine HR transactions. The HR Representative helps ensure HR processes are completed accurately, timely, and confidentially while supporting a positive, safe, and productive workplace.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 1–3 years of human resources, administrative, payroll, recruiting, or related experience preferred; manufacturing or high-volume hourly environment experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using HRIS, applicant tracking, or payroll systems; strong attention to detail and data accuracy required.
  • Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environment and support employees and supervisors across shifts as business needs require.
  • Strong communication, customer service, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.
  • Experience maintaining employee records, processing HR transactions, and ensuring data integrity in HR systems.
  • Ability to support employee onboarding, orientation, and routine HR communications in a professional and service-oriented manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees, supervisors, candidates, and external partners.
  • Working knowledge of HR practices, employment documentation, confidentiality standards, and policy administration.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and follow-up items in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting recruiting, interview scheduling, new hire paperwork, and employee lifecycle processes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with benefits, leave administration, attendance tracking, and compliance-related recordkeeping is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, plant, or other operational environment is helpful, along with the ability to work effectively with a diverse employee population.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, timekeeping, and general employment matters; escalate more complex issues as appropriate.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including orientation, new hire paperwork, policy acknowledgements, and follow-up to ensure a smooth start.
  • Support recruiting efforts by posting jobs, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, assisting with screenings, and preparing hiring documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee files and HRIS records for hires, transfers, status changes, pay changes, and separations while protecting confidential information.
  • Assist with benefits administration by answering employee questions, supporting enrollments and changes, and coordinating with vendors or internal partners as needed.
  • Help administer leave and attendance processes, including tracking documentation and supporting compliance with company policy and applicable laws.
  • Prepare routine HR reports, maintain logs, and support audits, recordkeeping, and required employment documentation such as I-9s and personnel files.
  • Assist with employee relations matters by documenting concerns, gathering information, and supporting fair and consistent application of policies and practices.
  • Coordinate training, employee communications, recognition activities, and other HR programs that support engagement and a positive workplace culture.
  • Partner with supervisors and HR leadership to ensure consistent execution of HR processes and timely follow-up on employee and business needs.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws as well as company policies, safety practices, and internal procedures.
  • Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned to support the HR team and site operations.
