About The Position

The Human Resources Representative at GTI is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Human Resources department, with a primary focus on recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding activities. This role manages employee lifecycle processes, maintains accurate HR records, supports compliance efforts, and assists with employee relations. The position requires occasional travel (approximately 20%) and plays a key role in supporting GTI’s workforce needs and organizational growth.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish required.
  • 3–5 years of HR or related office experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of HR principles, practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HRIS and payroll systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, including job postings, application review, screening, and coordination of interviews.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, qualifications, and competencies for open roles.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews, communicate with candidates, and ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Support seasonal hiring initiatives and workforce reductions as needed, ensuring smooth and professional transitions.
  • Maintain proactive talent pipelines to support ongoing and future staffing needs.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, including orientation scheduling, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Prepare and maintain new hire packets, termination packets, and related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee personnel files, medical files, and other required records in compliance with company policy and applicable laws.
  • Manage employee separations, including exit interviews, final paperwork, and compliance documentation.
  • Support daily HR functions including benefits administration, leave management, performance processes, and employee relations.
  • Assist with HR audits, including FLC audits, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, job descriptions, and offer letters as needed.
  • Support and conduct required employee training, including sexual harassment prevention training.
  • Respond to employee, applicant, and supervisor inquiries, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Participate in disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations as needed.
  • Follow up with new hires regarding benefits enrollment and related questions.
  • Conduct DOT quarterly meetings and support related compliance activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
