About The Position

Are you passionate about people, organization, and creating a positive workplace culture? The City is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Human Resources Representative to support employees and departments through a wide range of human resources, payroll, benefits, recruiting, and training initiatives. As a key member of the Human Resources team, you’ll serve as the first point of contact for employees, helping answer questions related to benefits, payroll, policies, and personnel processes while delivering exceptional customer service. This role plays an important part in supporting employee success—from onboarding and recruitment activities to overseeing benefit programs, payroll deductions, and employee records. In addition, this position helps drive employee growth and organizational development by coordinating training and professional development programs across the City. You’ll assist with maintaining the Learning Management System (LMS), tracking certifications and training completion, organizing workshops and presentations, and helping ensure employees have the resources they need to succeed. Requirements

  • Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 3-4 years of human resources related experience or Associate’s degree and 1-2 years of experience or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driver’s abstract in order to meet criteria for insurability established by the City of Gahanna.
