About The Position

VAL-CO Industries, located in New Holland, PA, is seeking a Part Time HR Representative for an onsite role. The HR Representative will play a vital role in shaping the workplace culture, encompassing responsibilities from recruiting and retention to enhancing employee engagement and managing performance. This includes guiding the screening and selection process for non-exempt positions, ensuring adherence to employment laws, conducting new hire orientations and exit interviews, coordinating employee events, maintaining personnel files, supporting the Director of Human Resources in resolving employee relations issues, and facilitating the performance management process. The goal is to promote a positive work environment and effectively communicate company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or comparable experience.
  • At least two years of demonstrated performance in various HR functions, including administration and staffing.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and time and attendance software.
  • Strong understanding of state and federal laws, notably Workers Compensation and Unemployment regulations.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to serve multiple plant locations.
  • Strong customer service acumen.
  • High accuracy.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must understand confidentiality and be able to adhere to company confidentiality rules.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR-HRCI or SHRM-CP highly desirable.
