About The Position

Carson Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources and Payroll Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a full-time, permanent position located in Victoria BC. The role will have a shared focus on assisting with the payroll processing for our group of automotive dealerships as well as providing HR support on day-to-day tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience with Payroll and HR preferred
  • Familiarity with HR and Payroll software (i.e, ADP) and strong MS Office skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to multitask while prioritizing time sensitive information
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the automotive industry is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Full cycle Payroll including data entry and verification for semimonthly and biweekly payrolls including union and non-unionized employees
  • Arranging travel for employees and tracking expenses for reimbursement
  • Assisting with recruitment including preparing job requisitions and posting
  • Preparing and distributing employee schedules
  • Daily Payroll and HR department tasks as required
  • Preparing monthly, annual, and on demand reports
  • Maintaining accurate employee records
  • Assisting with onboarding including completing new employee set-ups
  • Assisting with Benefit administration, WorkSafe BC Claims, and Health & Safety administration
