About The Position

Infinitum Electric is seeking a Human Resources Operations Specialist to manage the daily operations of the people department. This full-time, on-site position in Austin, TX, focuses on ensuring payroll accuracy, maintaining HRIS integrity, managing employee documentation, and overseeing the onboarding process. The specialist will act as a key liaison between the people, finance, and IT departments.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in HR Operations, People Ops, or Payroll, preferably in a high-growth or manufacturing/hardware environment.
  • Hands-on experience running multi-state payroll on a modern platform (e.g., Paylocity, ADP, Gusto, UKG, Workday).
  • Working knowledge of US labor and pay regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ACA, multi-state tax) and basic benefits administration.
  • Strong HRIS skills, including report building, data auditing, and managing integrations.
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis (vlookups, pivots, cleanup).
  • High attention to detail, discretion with confidential data, and a service-oriented approach to employees.

  • FPC, CPP, aPHR, PHR, or SHRM-CP certification.

Responsibilities

  • Run end-to-end multi-state payroll on a bi-weekly cadence, including timecards, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and off-cycle runs, and collaborate with Finance on GL postings and reconciliations.
  • Manage the HRIS as the system of record, ensuring data hygiene, processing organizational changes, overseeing integrations with payroll, benefits, and IT systems, conducting audits, and generating reports.
  • Maintain pay core configuration, including pay groups, pay codes, earnings/deduction setup, GL mappings, and state/local tax setup for new locations.
  • Oversee employee document management, including offer letters, I-9/E-Verify, policy acknowledgments, leave paperwork, and separation packets, ensuring proper file hygiene and retention.
  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, from pre-boarding tasks and Day 1 setup with IT and Facilities to new-hire orientation and 30-day check-ins.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pay, benefits, time off, and HR policies, escalating issues as necessary.
