About The Position

The Human Resource Manager performs daily HR duties and assists in carrying out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, safety, workers compensation, employment/staffing, performance management, benefits and compensation administration. The role involves working with managers and supervisors to coach and counsel on employee relations and performance issues, responding to and resolving employee issues or complaints, ensuring pre-employment and post-offer protocols are completed, assisting with local benefit administration including managing FMLA and LOA requests, managing workers compensation claims and tracking workplace safety metrics, promoting and coordinating employee relations and recognition programs, maintaining the HRIS database and compiling reports, conducting training sessions, and leading the company’s Time & Attendance program. The position also tracks headcount (hires, separations, LOA, etc.) and provides regular reports. Responsibilities and impact may crossover technical fields/functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years HR experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of employment laws such as FLSA, FMLA, ADA, DOL, etc.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience working with an HRIS and ERP systems

Nice To Haves

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification
  • Experience working with ADP and Epicor
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish, both verbally and in writing

Responsibilities
