About The Position

Haverhill Pavilion is seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Manager to join our leadership team. This position plays a key role in supporting employees, leaders, and organizational initiatives while helping to ensure a positive workplace culture and exceptional employee experience. The Human Resources Manager will oversee daily HR operations and partner closely with department leaders on employee relations, recruitment, engagement, compliance, and performance management initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Prior healthcare, behavioral health, hospital, or long-term care experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, recruitment, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary HR resource for managers and employees.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to leaders regarding employee relations matters, performance concerns, attendance issues, corrective action, and policy interpretation.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
  • Assist with conflict resolution and promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment activities including posting positions, screening candidates, interviewing, and coordinating hiring efforts.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
  • Attend job fairs, networking events, and community recruitment activities as needed.
  • Monitor vacancy reports and hiring metrics.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation.
  • Ensure completion of all onboarding requirements, credentialing, and employment documentation.
  • Support new employee integration and retention efforts.
  • Assist with employee recognition and engagement programs.
  • Guide leaders through performance improvement processes and corrective action procedures.
  • Monitor annual evaluations and performance management timelines.
  • Assist with leadership development and training initiatives.
  • Support succession planning and workforce development efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
  • Assist with policy development, implementation, and communication.
  • Monitor required trainings, licenses, certifications, and compliance requirements.
  • Support unemployment claims, audits, and regulatory requests.
  • Assist employees with benefits-related questions and enrollment support.
  • Coordinate leave administration including FMLA, PFML, ADA accommodations, and workers' compensation processes.
  • Work closely with payroll and benefits vendors to ensure timely and accurate administration.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and organizational initiatives.
  • Assist with employee engagement surveys and action planning.
  • Support training, education, and professional development programs.
  • Contribute to HR projects focused on culture, retention, and operational excellence.
