About The Position

DAS Companies is seeking a Human Resources Manager to support their Kentucky Distribution Center and partner with corporate on key HR initiatives. This role will lead all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, policy compliance, and organizational development. The HR Manager will act as a trusted business partner, ensuring compliance with employment laws and HR best practices while fostering a positive, engaged, and high-performing workplace. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant HR experience will be considered.
  • 4–10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably supporting distribution, manufacturing, or multi-site operations.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship building skills with the ability to influence and partner effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with employee relations, performance management, recruiting, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Recruits, interviews, and partners with hiring managers to attract, select, and onboard qualified employees.
  • Plans and facilitates new employee orientation and onboarding to ensure a positive employee experience and successful integration into the organization.
  • Maintains accurate employee records and HRIS data, ensuring timely processing of personnel transactions, data integrity, compliance, and required documentation throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Coordinates and delivers management training on interviewing, hiring, performance management, employee relations, safety, harassment prevention, and other HR-related topics.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to managers by providing guidance and support on employee relations matters, performance concerns, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
  • Responds to employee and management inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and programs while ensuring consistent application of company policies.
  • Conducts HR administrative functions, including completing requests from shared HR email inbox, coordination of departmental communications, maintenance of HR documentation, and timely processing of employee requests.
  • Serves as the primary HR point of contact for both day shift and third shift employees and leaders while supporting workplace safety initiatives, workers' compensation administration, OSHA-related documentation, and compliance reporting.
  • Represents the organization during employment-related investigations, audits, unemployment hearings, and other HR compliance matters as needed.
  • Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Assists in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
