About The Position

Gerald Jones Auto Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Manager to oversee and lead all HR functions for our multi-location automotive dealership organization. This role will support leadership and employees across all dealership operations, ensuring compliance, employee engagement, talent development, and organizational effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have strong HR generalist experience, leadership capability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced automotive retail environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience required
  • Multi-location or automotive dealership experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Experience managing employee relations and conflict resolution

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, but experience considered

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations for approximately 400 employees across multiple dealership locations
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, retention, and employee relations initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices
  • Administer benefits, leave management, workers’ compensation, and unemployment claims
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee programs
  • Support dealership leadership with coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution
  • Coordinate training and professional development initiatives
  • Maintain HRIS systems and employee records
  • Oversee payroll coordination and assist with compensation planning
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented workplace culture aligned with company values
