About The Position

Administer human resource initiatives in support of the Head Start Act/National Head Start Performance Standards and the Mission, Vision, Core Principles and Core Values of Luzerne County Head Start. Perform a wide range of personnel duties within a procedural framework set forth by the Human Resources and Business Office. Assists in staff recruitment, employee relations, training, employment and benefit administration.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Education or Related discipline
  • Two (2) Years Experience in recruitment, training, teaching or related HR experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) per state/federal regulations.
  • Position will require record check approval of driving record by LCHS Insurance Provider, as this position is considered a designated position requiring driving as an essential job function.
  • Proof of Degree/Certification and Experience Required to meet the Qualifications for position.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred
