About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will partner with operations to support equipment troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance. This role performs scheduled maintenance tasks during production downtime to ensure optimal equipment performance. The technician utilizes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills to troubleshoot and repair production equipment, diagnosing issues, determining root causes, and implementing effective repairs or part replacements. The goal is to minimize equipment-related production downtime through proactive and responsive maintenance. The technician will respond promptly to production line calls and perform emergency repairs during operational hours. Responsibilities include interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and work orders, as well as assisting with general facility maintenance such as carpentry, plumbing, and infrastructure repairs. The role also involves identifying and reporting faulty operations, defective materials, and unusual situations, while adhering to all company policies, safety regulations, GMPs, and standard operating procedures. The technician will use appropriate tools and maintain a clean work environment, performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical wiring, pneumatics, hydraulics, and plumbing.
  • Proven experience in repairing heavy industrial equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement and safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Experience in food processing is preferred.
