About The Position

D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., was founded in 1978 and is a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange. It is engaged in the construction and sale of high-quality homes designed principally for the entry-level and first time move-up markets. The Company also provides mortgage financing and title services for homebuyers through its mortgage and title subsidiaries. D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Human Resources Manager - Marketing Technology. The right candidate will lead routine Human Resource functions for the corporate Marketing Technology department in conjunction with Corporate Human Resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partner or HR Manager roles
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity and professionalism in all situations
  • Strong computer skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new programs/systems quickly is essential
  • Knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and workforce management principles in a multi-state and distributed workforce environment
  • Strong interpersonal and consulting skills with the ability to influence leaders and navigate complex employee matters

Nice To Haves

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Marketing Technology leadership and Corporate Human Resources to understand and execute the department’s talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting and retention
  • Manage the talent acquisition process in conjunction with the D.R. Horton Careers team which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Provide support to management and other staff when employee related questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing guidance, proposing solutions, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations
  • Ensure managers are aware of and compliant in exercising company policies relating to management responsibilities
  • Verify all Human Resources policies are followed
  • Continue and establish practices that encourage a culture where dedicated and driven employees are celebrated, supported, and given opportunities for advancement
  • Analyze workforce data and trends (turnover, engagement, performance) to provide insights and recommendations that improve employee experience and business outcomes.
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
