Human Resources Manager / HR Generalist
About The Position
The HR Manager / Generalist will play a crucial role in guiding our HR operations and ensuring a positive employee experience. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this position will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. The candidate must have strong, hands-on recruitment leadership with a track record of building pipelines and closing roles internally. SHRM certification is preferred. Demonstrate excellent communication skills. A true model of excellence, high standards, accountability, and discretion. Onsite position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. On-call availability required, 24/7, as this is a leadership role supporting operations that run around the clock. This role is not just administrative. It is a leadership position with real ownership, real accountability and an opportunity to grow.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree and three to five years of HR experience, or a master's degree in HR management and two years of experience in the HR field, or seven years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
- Bilingual English / Spanish

Responsibilities
- Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program; and writes and places advertisements.
- Handles employee relations counseling, and exit interviewing.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as needed/requested.
- Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals.
- Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, prescreening and interviewing candidates, conducting reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
- Assist to investigate complaints brought forward by employees with the General Counsel.
- Coordinate employee development plans and performance management.
- Employee orientation, development, and training.
