About The Position

Join the Johnsonville Member Services (Human Resources) Team for a summer of learning, growth, and meaningful experiences! Our internship program is designed to provide broad exposure to the HR function while helping you build valuable professional skills and real-world experience. As an HR Intern, you will contribute to projects across a variety of Human Resources disciplines, gaining insight into how HR supports the success of our Members and business. In addition to project-based work, you'll have opportunities to job shadow members in areas that align with your interests, allowing you to explore different career paths within HR. You'll also connect with interns from across the organization through structured networking, professional development, and team-building activities designed to enhance your learning experience and expand your professional network.

Requirements

  • Candidate must currently be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field; junior or senior status preferred
  • 3.5 minimum GPA strongly preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with HRIS, ERP, or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is a plus.
  • Eager to learn, develop new skills, and contribute in a collaborative team environment.
  • Receptive to feedback and adaptable to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Fast learner with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and motivated to deliver high-quality results.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management skills and the ability to effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Previous office, administrative, or customer-facing experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting activities, including interview scheduling, candidate communications, job posting administration, career fair preparation, and coordination of intern and co-op program initiatives.
  • Assist in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of HR resources, processes, documentation, and tools to improve the overall Member experience.
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and interpret HR-related data to support business decisions, process improvements, and project recommendations.
  • Gain exposure to employment practices, HR policies, and compliance requirements while applying this knowledge to day-to-day responsibilities and project work.
  • Participate in a variety of HR projects, building relationships and collaborating with leaders and Members across the organization.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance HR processes and programs.
