About The Position

SetPoint Medical’s Human Resources Intern will contribute to our organization as we continue to define a new therapeutic category in neuroimmune modulation. Working under the guidance of the HR Manager, you will support recruitment initiatives, benefits reconciliation process, with the ability to identify gaps and recommend process improvements. In a fast-paced start-up environment, this role will require strong communication skills, analytical thinking, attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, highly organized, and capable of supporting both strategic and day-to-day HR operations in a growing medical device company. This full-time internship is in office, Monday - Friday, reporting to company headquarters in Valencia, CA. Internship dates are flexible based on your school calendar.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Business Administration or related field.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail.
  • Must be able to complete the internship duration: 9–12 weeks.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to recommend systems for efficiency.
  • Must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.
  • Driven and enthusiastic about innovation and excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Team-oriented with qualities such as inclusivity, decisiveness, strong facilitation skills, a focus on process improvement, and approachability.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee data, including job titles, levels, and other relevant information in HR systems.
  • Work closely with the Human Resources team to support the enhancement of employee resources and internal systems.
  • Assist in maintaining standardized employee policies, procedures, and onboarding communications across the organization.
  • Assist with updating HR templates, forms, and internal communication materials.
  • Coordinate employee communications and administrative processes related to onboarding, payroll, and benefits programs.
  • Support HR compliance and audit activities by reviewing employee records, job descriptions, and HR documentation for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Maintain organized electronic employee files, including scanning, auditing, and managing employment and I-9 documentation to support compliance and a paperless environment.
