About The Position

We are seeking a Human Resources Intern for Summer 2027. This role provides hands-on, real-world experience in union relations, collective bargaining support, labor contract administration, and compliance within an industrial manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, possesses excellent communication, conflict-resolution and technology skills, and has a strong interest in Labor Relations. This opportunity will be a 10-week, paid internship beginning June 1, 2027. This internship will be based in Greenbelt, MD.

Requirements

  • Computer knowledge: AODocs; HRIS and ATS systems. i.e., SAP, SuccessFactors, Google and Microsoft products.
  • Interest and familiarity with data processing technology, computer science and/or artificial intelligence
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong relationship building skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, initiative and integrity.
  • Eager to learn and contribute in an ever changing environment.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to manage multiple projects at once.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HR and Labor Relations professionals on unionized workforce initiatives, collective bargaining agreement (CBA) administration, and workplace policy compliance.
  • Will be assigned to a real job/task and expected to make a contribution that will have an impact on the business.
  • Utilize various skill sets/knowledge during day-to-day operations and to achieve team/company goals.
  • Create a presentation at the end of your internship to executive leadership regarding what you have learned and what you believe you have contributed to the business.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
