About The Position

This internship involves partnering with the Barnes Aerospace Human Resources team to support various HR projects and processes, focusing on the Talent Management System (TMS) and overall HR objectives. The role provides administrative and coordination support for Talent Acquisition, including interview logistics, candidate communications, and onboarding. It also involves assisting with presentations, reports, and communication materials for HR initiatives, compiling data for metrics and insights, and supporting the implementation of process improvements. The intern will help coordinate HR programs and policies, and assist with ad hoc projects across the HR department.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Demonstrated high ethical standards with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint; ability to learn new tools and processes quickly.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week (up to 40 hours), Monday through Friday.
  • Internship duration ranging from 6 to 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Barnes Aerospace Human Resources team to support a variety of HR projects and processes aligned with the Talent Management System (TMS) and overall HR goals and objectives.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for Talent Acquisition activities, including interview logistics, candidate communications, and onboarding coordination.
  • Assist with preparing presentations, reports, and communication materials in support of HR initiatives and programs.
  • Support HR initiatives by compiling data, preparing metrics and insights, and assisting with the development and implementation of process improvement strategies.
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of HR programs and policies, including documentation, communication, and process support (without direct system administration).
  • Provide support for additional ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed across the HR department.
