About The Position

Heitman is seeking a rising Junior to join our 2027 Summer Internship Program in our Human Resources department. This team is responsible for investor reporting and analysis and is a great place to start your career in real estate and gain experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment! The Human Resources department provides broad HR exposure supporting core Human Resources functions, including HR policies and compliance, HRIS administration and support, reporting and data management, employee programs and other HR Generalist tasks and responsibilities. Interns will partner on projects related to total rewards, wellness initiatives, engagement, and process improvement while developing an understanding of how HR supports business strategy and operations across the organization.

Requirements

Rising Senior at a US based college/university
Working towards a degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, Business, or other related majors
Strong project and time management skills
Collaboration skills – working together across multiple departments
Problem solving experience leveraging analytical and critical thinking skills in school and/or business
A “think outside the box” mindset –with a desire to brainstorm creative solutions in our ever-changing industry
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

Gain broad HR exposure supporting core Human Resources functions, including HR policies and compliance, HRIS administration and support, reporting and data management, employee programs and other HR Generalist tasks and responsibilities.
Partner on projects related to total rewards, wellness initiatives, engagement, and process improvement.
Develop an understanding of how HR supports business strategy and operations across the organization.
Collaborate with your cohort to complete a project with real world application and experience first-hand what it takes to be a successful real estate investment manager.
