About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist provides comprehensive support across multiple functional areas within the HR department, including but not limited to talent acquisition, employee relations, personnel records management, compensation and benefits administration, organizational development, training, AAP/EEO compliance, and special projects. This role requires a strong understanding of company policies, organizational structure, and a high level of technical and interpersonal skill.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Human Resources support role
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to prepare effective reports and presentations

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HR team members to drive excellence in core HR processes, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, rewards and recognition, employee engagement, leadership development, succession planning, and employee communications
  • Conduct employee investigations and partner with leadership to determine appropriate resolutions
  • Interpret and apply company policies consistently and fairly across all facilities
  • Perform regular plant walks to maintain visibility and support employee engagement
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within HR functions
  • Track, analyze, and report HR metrics at both the site and corporate levels
  • Model and promote company values and the Code of Business Ethics
  • Provide daily support to employees by addressing inquiries or directing them to appropriate HR team members
  • Assist employees with self-service system access and general HR-related questions
  • Create, maintain, and update confidential employee and medical files in compliance with regulations
  • Partner with the HR Manager to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new hires
  • Assist with and/or facilitate new hire orientation, including completion of required documentation (I-9, tax forms, emergency contacts, etc.)
  • Maintain and compile various HR reports and documentation
  • Enter and manage employee data within UKG
  • Support special HR projects and initiatives as assigned
  • Manage job requisitions and assist with screening candidates for open and replacement positions
