About The Position

TEL is seeking a temporary HR Generalist to support our Human Resources team during a period of continued growth. This assignment is onsite full time, Monday – Friday, is expected to last approximately three months, and will play a key role in supporting day‑to‑day HR operations. The Human Resources (HR) Generalist will run the daily administration functions of the HR department including full employee life cycle events (onboarding, offboarding, assistance of administering pay, benefits, leave administration, employee relations, etc.). The HR Generalist will enhance the overall employee job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, identifying gaps and providing recommendations for ongoing areas of improvement and maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field or a combination of education and years of experience required.
  • 4+ years direct experience working in Human Resources.
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist.
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment labor laws and regulations.
  • Outstanding knowledge of Microsoft Office 365; Familiarity with Human Capital Management System(s) - Paycor HCM a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Desire to work as a team with results driven approach.

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Conduct full employee onboarding (including e-verification), changes and offboarding process and orientation.
  • Facilitates employee recognition programs.
  • Help organize training & development initiatives.
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
  • Assist in development and implementation of HR policies.
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates.
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic form.
  • Enhance overall employee job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, identifying gaps and providing recommendations for areas of improvement.
  • Assist in company proper documentation of process & procedures.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Develop and distribute HR news and other internal communication on an ongoing basis.
  • Subject matter expert on Company policies and practices.
  • Look for opportunities to streamline and optimize on internal HR practices allowing for efficiency.
