About The Position

IPM’s growth, success, and longevity are directly dependent on its ability to recruit and retain high quality IPM family members while preparing employees for positions of greater responsibility. The Human Resources Generalist is a pivotal component of the link between supporting the business and supporting employees. In addition to securing top talent, this position is the primary liaison between IPM family members, and all things related to onboarding, benefits and payroll. This position requires the ability to handle confidential information and comply with numerous deadlines. Accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality are essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of generalist experience working within multiple areas of HR.
  • At least 2 years of multi-state payroll processing experience, benefits administration and recruiting experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software, with expertise in Excel including manipulation and analysis of data.
  • Experience with processing payroll with ADP a plus.
  • Utmost attention to accuracy.
  • Fundamental understanding of general HR laws and practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as strong written and oral communication skills in the English language.

Responsibilities

  • Research and recommend multiple, innovative recruiting sources and candidate identification/sourcing techniques.
  • Prepare appropriate job postings and ensure timely placements in agreed-upon venues.
  • Review and assess candidates, conduct phone screens, and make recommendations on whether to move forward.
  • Schedule and coordinate candidate interviews for all steps of the recruiting process.
  • Ensure all interviewers have the necessary information to successfully complete their part of the interview.
  • Summarize interview results, and follow-up as appropriate if conclusions vary.
  • Manage IPM’s recruiting vendors.
  • Maintain recruiting status report and provide management with weekly progress updates.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for all activities related to the administration of IPM’s benefits including, medical, HRA, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA and COBRA.
  • Complete all new hire enrollments, employee changes, and termination processing. Ensuring accuracy in the processing of these tasks through both transactional and annual audits.
  • Handle employee concerns and questions regarding benefit plans and enrollment eligibility.
  • Reconcile monthly invoices verifying accuracy of premium billing and enrollment.
  • Participate in annual renewal process by collaborating with broker and completing analysis of renewal options.
  • Enter new hires and set-up onboarding steps.
  • Process employee changes such as address updates, salary changes, and benefit updates.
  • Process intricate bi-weekly payroll and audit for accuracy.
  • Monitor accruals, multi-state taxes, and exceptions.
  • Provide monthly and annual reports to support budgeting, auditing, and corporate KPIs.
