The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for a variety of activities in the Human Resources Department, including Employee Relations, HR Compliance, Employee Engagement, Training, and Recruiting.

Requirements

  • B.A./B.S. in appropriate Human Resources, Business or Psychology discipline preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a broad range of Human Resource functions preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated skills in understanding and supporting the team concept, active listening, problem solving and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Past experience with an HRIS system preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Human Resources certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that are aligned with the organization and HR strategies and goals.
  • Responds to general questions from employees and managers related to policy interpretation.
  • Serves as initial point of contact for meetings/discussions with employees.
  • Assists in presenting policy/procedure related information to employees and managers through HR Learning series.
  • Conducts exit interviews and tracks exit interview data.
  • Maintains EEO-1 data and provides reporting updates on annual basis.
  • Maintains any and all compliance tasks to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Partners with HR Compliance as needed to insure employees’ licenses and certifications are maintained; work with managers on action plans to address non-compliance, including removing the employee from the schedule.
  • Plans and actively participates in employee engagement and recognition events.
  • Completes employment verifications in accordance with Network policy.
  • Composes letters and documents relevant to retention and employee relations.
  • Assists with the maintenance of active and terminated physical personnel files.
  • Coordinates and leads projects and events.
  • Attends meetings and serves on various committees as needed.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
