About The Position

Serves as administrator for several critical human resources functions and workforce management, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, health and safety, benefits, training, diversity, employee engagement, leave and attendance tracking, payroll, and employee records. Facilitates and communicates organizational policies and programs and ensures labor law and regulatory compliance. Provides internal support and partnership to business lines to deliver required human resources. Coordinates with HR support staff to process and maintain employment, attendance, and other records.

Requirements

  • Understanding of employment laws (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO, state specific regulations).
  • Working understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidential employee information and handle sensitive matters.
  • Strong forward thinking approach (proactive mindset to improve HR processes).
  • Strong decision making and judgment when escalating ER matters.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Following through on commitments, and ensures timely resolution or proper escalation to HR leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams).
  • Employee Relations, Benefits, or other subject matter experts.
  • Ability to work independently with supervision.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with employees and managers by offering proactive communication, problem solving support.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • 2 to 4 years of related human resource generalist experience
  • 2+ supporting multiple HR functions (recruiting, employee relations, onboarding, benefits, compliance)
  • 2+ years payroll processing
  • Experience providing employee support on policies, performance issues, conflict resolution, and manager guidance
  • Previous experience E Verify, including completing employment eligibility verifications ensuring full compliance
  • 2+ years of hands on experience working with HRIS platforms, including entering and maintaining employee data, processing job and pay changes, supporting system workflows, generating reports, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring data accuracy
  • Conducting and documenting investigations
  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification and reference checks.

Responsibilities

  • Provides high quality, timely, and professional customer service to employees, managers, and external partners by serving as a responsive and knowledgeable first point of contact for HR inquiries.
  • Leads new hire orientation and onboarding.
  • Responsible for full cycle recruiting for all non exempt positions and internship opportunities across the organization.
  • Administers all leave of absence programs (FMLA, ADA accommodations, personal and medical leave, and state mandated leaves) as the primary point of contact for employees, while monitoring leave status, tracking deadlines, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring timely follow up throughout the leave cycle.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for 3rd party contract agencies for temporary employees.
  • Backup payroll processor.
  • Supports the development and delivery of employee training.
  • Supports employee relations by conducting or assisting with workplace investigations, including gathering facts, interviewing employees, documenting findings.
  • Champion employee engagement initiatives by helping plan, coordinate, and execute.
  • Project support includes assisting with HR projects and initiatives.
  • Advising managers and employees at multiple levels.
  • Analyzing HR data and producing weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Ensures HRIS and payroll systems are accurately maintained by entering and updating employee information.
