About The Position

Join our team as an Experienced Human Resources Generalist at our Manlius, NY location and play a strategic, on-site role supporting our manufacturing, corporate, and retail operations. In this position, you will partner with managers and a strong HR team to develop and implement HR initiatives that drive a positive workplace culture and effective talent strategies. This is a full-time, on-site role (Monday to Friday during business hours) in which you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our employees and business. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of HR experience in a generalist, business partner, or similar role; experience in manufacturing or retail industries is highly valued.
  • Solid understanding of HR best practices and US employment laws/regulations (e.g., EEO, FMLA, OSHA, NYS labor laws).
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive HR matters with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with employees at all levels.
  • Experience in effectively coaching managers and resolving employee relations issues.
  • Proficiency with HRIS (UKG Pro preferred) and applicant tracking systems (isolved Talent Requisition preferred), as well as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Comfortable using data and HR metrics to drive decisions and reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
  • Ability to think strategically about organizational needs and recommend HR solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to thrive in a dynamic setting and manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive approach to continuously improving processes and helping others succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with department leaders and supervisors to provide comprehensive HR support across our manufacturing, corporate and retail operations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on HR matters, helping to align HR initiatives with business goals.
  • Develop and implement workforce plans, including effective recruiting and staffing strategies, to attract and retain top talent for both our factory and retail teams.
  • Ensure our talent acquisition processes support the growth of the organization and meet diversity and inclusion goals.
  • Lead employee relations initiatives and communication efforts to foster a positive, engaged work environment.
  • Advise and coach managers on resolving employee issues and maintaining open, productive communication across all levels.
  • Oversee the employee performance evaluation process and support managers in creating performance improvement plans.
  • Champion our reward and recognition programs and guide disciplinary actions when necessary, ensuring fairness and consistency to maintain a high-performance culture.
  • Educate employees and managers on company policies, HR best practices, and workplace guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws (EEO, FMLA, OSHA, etc.) and maintain up-to-date documentation for audits and reporting.
  • Manage HR records and HRIS data integrity, and handle onboarding and other compliance tasks for your area.
  • Analyze HR metrics and workforce data (turnover rates, engagement scores, etc.) to identify trends.
  • Recommend and implement improvements or new approaches to enhance HR processes and business outcomes.
  • Coach and counsel managers and employees on professional development, conflict resolution, and performance improvement.
  • Work with the HR team on training initiatives that support career growth and skill development across the company.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, ensuring employees and candidates understand our offerings.
  • Lead and contribute to HR projects and initiatives (such as wellness programs, diversity and inclusion efforts, or HR process improvements) in collaboration with senior HR team members.
