About The Position
Claypool Electric is seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to support approximately 311 employees across office, field, and project-based operations. Working closely with the HR Manager, this role will provide day-to-day support across employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, leave administration, HR records, compliance, and employee questions.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience.
- Working knowledge of employee relations, onboarding, benefits, leave administration, compliance, and recordkeeping.
- Strong organization, documentation, communication, confidentiality, and follow-through.
- Comfort working onsite and interacting with employees and leaders at every level of the organization.
Nice To Haves
- Construction, skilled-trades, manufacturing, or other field-workforce experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP/PHR and Vista by Viewpoint experience are preferred, not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide responsive day-to-day HR support to employees and supervisors.
- Support recruiting, candidate screening, interview coordination, offers, onboarding, and I-9 documentation.
- Assist with employee relations documentation, investigations, performance management, and follow-up.
- Support benefits, FMLA, accommodations, return-to-work processes, and employee status changes.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and employee data in Vista by Viewpoint and related systems.
- Partner with payroll and assist with HR reporting, audits, and process improvement.
