About The Position

The Recruiter is responsible for delivering full-cycle recruiting and a seamless onboarding experience across multiple locations. This role provides dedicated support to mission services, administrative teams, retail, and other departments by managing sourcing, hiring events, background checks, paperwork validation, orientations, and early-tenure follow-up. The Recruiter ensures hiring compliance, strengthens workforce pipelines, and partners closely with managers to meet staffing needs efficiently and consistently. This position is intentionally separated from HR Generalist responsibilities to allow the Recruiter to focus exclusively on talent acquisition, onboarding, and hiring compliance while supporting organizational growth and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of recruiting experience, preferably in multi-location or high-volume environments.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and onboarding platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and recruiting technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience conducting hiring events or community-based recruiting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruiting for all departments, including mission services, administrative roles, retail, and vocational programs.
  • Conduct sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer support.
  • Build strong partnerships with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and deliver timely, high-quality candidates.
  • Maintain a positive, mission-aligned candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Oversee the entire onboarding experience, including background checks, paperwork validation, I-9 compliance, pre-employment requirements, and orientation scheduling.
  • Facilitate new hire orientations across multiple locations, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Conduct 30-day post-hire follow-ups to assess new hire experience, retention risks, and manager satisfaction.
  • Partner with HR Operations to ensure accurate and timely system setup for new hires.
  • Plan and execute dedicated hiring events at locations with chronic or historical staffing challenges.
  • Represent the organization at career academies, WRO events, vocational programs, and community hiring fairs throughout the year.
  • Build relationships with community partners, workforce development agencies, and training programs to strengthen talent pipelines.
  • Provide annual hiring compliance training to managers and supervisors across all departments.
  • Ensure recruiting and onboarding practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain documentation standards, hiring records, and audit-ready files.
  • Partner with HR leadership to update hiring policies, interview guidelines, and compliance materials.
  • Work closely with HR Generalists, HR Manager, payroll, and operations leaders to ensure smooth transitions from recruiting to onboarding to HR operations.
  • Provide insights on hiring trends, turnover risks, and pipeline challenges.
  • Support workforce planning initiatives by identifying talent gaps and recommending recruitment strategies.
