About The Position

The HR Director provides strategic and operational leadership to align human resources initiatives with the mission and goals of Family Health Center. This role is responsible for fostering a community reflective, compliant, and performance-driven culture that supports high-quality patient care and equitable outcomes.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited college or university is required.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in managing the Human Resources functions is required, or an equivalent amount of education and experience.
  • Expert proficiency in Regulatory Compliance including HRSA, FTCA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA, Credentialing/Privileging Protocols.
  • Advanced proficiency in Talent Acquisition & Retention including recruiting in underserved areas, provider shortage strategies, cultural fit assessment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Employee Relations including conflict resolution, burnout prevention strategies.
  • Expert proficiency in Strategic HR Leadership including HR strategy alignment with clinical priorities, workforce planning, executive consultation.
  • Advanced proficiency in HR Operations & Systems including HRIS/payroll systems (e.g. ADP), policy development, performance appraisal design.
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Training & Development including compliance training, supervisory skills, leadership development.
  • Advanced proficiency in Benefits & Compensation including plan design, cost analysis, total rewards strategy, grant-funded salary structures.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Community Health Integration including understanding of social determinants of health, health equity practices, staff alignment with community engagement goals.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Data Analysis and Reporting including HR Metrics, Workforce data, turnover/retention analysis, compliance audit support.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • Active certification as PHR or SPHR is preferred.
  • Experience in health care or human service-related organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support clinical operations, community health initiatives, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, HRSA requirements, HIPAA, and OSHA regulations.
  • Oversee credentialing and privileging processes for clinical providers.
  • Lead recruitment and retention efforts for medical, administrative, and executive talent.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs, including management of grant-funded salary structures.
  • Direct employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution practices in alignment with labor law and organizational values.
  • Support workforce planning, organizational development, and succession planning.
  • Support training and development initiatives across all levels of the organization.
  • Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, and corrective action protocols.
  • Collaborate with finance and compliance teams on HR-related audits, reports, and grant management.
