About The Position

The Department of Revenue is recruiting for a limited-duration Human Resources Data Analyst (Operations & Policy Analyst 2). We are looking for a talented, detail-oriented individual with excellent customer service skills to join our Human Resources Team. This position is headquartered in our Salem office; however, the successful candidate may be eligible for in-state hybrid work. Hybrid work consists of performing duties onsite in a standard office environment and working remotely. This limited-duration position is expected to last through June 30, 2027. The position also has the potential to become permanent. Employees of the State of Oregon may choose to be considered as a job rotation candidate. To apply as a job rotation, you must be currently employed by the State of Oregon in a permanent position (limited duration and temporary employees are not eligible), in good standing, and have approval from your supervisor. Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.
  • Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification

  • Possess strong writing and presentation skills.

  • Experience with R, R Studio, PowerBI, or similar programs.

Responsibilities

  • Identify trends and analyze data from Workday reports.
  • Plan and complete analytical research studies; prepare written summaries and conclusions and make recommendations to leadership about research on Human Resources issues that impact the agency.
  • Provide confidential technical and program analysis to the agency to determine and effectuate management policies in the areas of HR management, employee and labor relations, and collective bargaining.
  • Provide data analysis on policies and procedures, legislative inquiries, and leadership requests.
  • Complete monthly Human Resources performance dashboard detailing key functions and performance level within Human Resources.
  • Identify anomalies and trends for Human Resources Leadership.
