About The Position

The Human Resources Coordinator will provide support and resources for staff and management in employee relations issues. This role involves recruiting for the Reading facilities, including processing employment advertisements, applications, screenings, and interviews. The coordinator will also assist in on-site training, such as safety, employee development, and benefits, and help department managers identify outside training sources. Additionally, this position will assist with the development of job descriptions, support the Human Resources Manager in labor relations (including investigating and answering grievances), and update employee information in HR records. The role is also responsible for scheduling new hire orientations and coordinating the attendance of appropriate management representatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to fours years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and resources for staff and management in employee relations issues.
  • Recruiting for the Reading facilities including processing employment advertisements applications, screenings and interviewing.
  • Assist in on-site training, including safety, employee development, and benefits.
  • Assist department managers in identifying outside training sources for employee development.
  • Assist with the development Job Descriptions for current and future positions in Reading.
  • Assist Human Resources Manager in Labor Relations. These duties will include the investigation and answering of grievances and other labor issues.
  • Update employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason.
  • Update employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.
  • Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons.
  • Assist management in monitoring attendance, seniority lists, job bidding, and maintenance of HR records.
  • Responsible for scheduling new hire orientations, including benefits overview, rules, checkoff cards, attendance, and benefit enrollments.
  • Responsible for coordinating the attendance of appropriate management representatives for the orientation.
  • Comply and support all applicable GMPs, Site Security, and Food Packaging Defense requirements that are referenced in the facilities GFSI food packaging safety program.
