This role is pivotal in the flow for our business continuity as we continue to grow, working directly with Recruiting Teams and the Operations Team to process and assist with administrative Recruiting and Onboarding related tasks.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 1+ years of administrative or HR experience
  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact post-offer-letter for new hires before and after their start date
  • Ensure all pre-employment paperwork (I-9, W-4, direct deposit, policies) is completed accurately and on time
  • Schedule and facilitate new hire orientation sessions
  • Support compliance efforts including reporting, audits, and data entry to ensure alignment with company policies and applicable labor laws
  • Collaborate with Recruiters and field leadership to support pre-employment engagement activities and initiatives
  • Follow up with all new hires at 30, 60, and 90 days to ensure a positive onboarding experience
  • Track onboarding progress and completion of required trainings
  • Coordinate background checks, drug screens, and employment verification
  • Partner with Hiring Manager, HR, IT, Fleet, Accounting, & Payroll, to set up system access, email accounts, and equipment
  • Ensure workspace or remote setup is ready on Day 1
  • Communicate start dates and onboarding schedules across departments
  • Track onboarding metrics (e.g., time-to-productivity, completion rates)
  • Identify gaps and recommend improvements to onboarding workflows
  • Help Centuri’s other Operating Company’s onboarding for high-volume or field-based hiring as needed
  • Assist in developing onboarding materials, guides, and checklists
  • Perform other administrative tasks as requested by leadership
