About The Position

The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join their Human Resources team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys detail-oriented work, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about supporting employees. As the first point of contact for many HR inquiries, this role plays an important part in shaping the employee experience, covering recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and process improvements. The role is 100% onsite and involves interacting with applicants and current employees, processing and maintaining personnel records, assisting with recruiting and research, and maintaining HRIS data.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of related experience in an administrative role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
• Strong computer skills in word processing, database management, spreadsheet development and publication software programs
• Ability to accurately maintain records of a confidential and personal nature

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree in human resources or related field
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for many HR inquiries.
• Manage recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies and regulations.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the HR department.
