About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Manager, the HR Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for employees and management, providing day-to-day human resources support across employee relations, payroll administration, HR operations, compliance, and employee engagement activities. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring accurate and timely payroll and HR transactions, maintaining employee records, supporting workforce processes, and helping foster a positive employee experience. The HR Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting front-line employee relations matters in a multi-shift environment, responding to employee inquiries, administering HR programs and policies, and ensuring consistent execution of HR processes. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of Human Resources, Payroll, Employee Relations, or administrative experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of HR administration, employee relations, payroll practices, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Understanding of wage and hour laws, attendance administration, and HR compliance principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with employees and management.
  • Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Self-motivated with strong follow-through and accountability.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience supporting employees in a manufacturing, distribution, logistics, warehouse, or operations environment preferred.
  • Experience using HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding company policies, procedures, benefits, attendance, payroll, and other HR-related matters.
  • Execute and owns employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, associate events, and communication activities.
  • Coordinate day-to-day front office operations which includes but not limited to reception, phones, mail, administrative support, projects, meeting coordination, etc.
  • Address routine employee relations concerns and escalate complex issues to the HR Manager as appropriate.
  • Supports and engages in the site’s recruitment and talent acquisition needs and activities.
  • Review, validate, and submit employee hours, overtime, paid time off, and attendance corrections with accuracy within established deadlines, in addition to resolving timekeeping discrepancies and respond to payroll-related inquiries.
  • Assist in conducting employee investigations, gathering documentation, and maintaining confidential records.
  • Support new hire onboarding and employee orientation processes.
  • Maintain a positive and responsive HR presence with employees and supervisors.
  • Provide administrative support including but not limited to preparing HR reports, department metrics, badges creation, maintaining employee files, pre-employment processing, coordinating meetings, collecting data, etc.
  • Support workers' compensation, leave administration, unemployment claims, and other employee programs as assigned.
  • Customer service minded with exceptional interfacing skills with vendors, associates and management at various levels within the organization.
  • Complies with all work rules including those pertaining to safety, health, and quality.
  • Performs other duties as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files, electronic records, and HR documentation.
  • Manage employment verifications, employee status changes, and HR system updates.
