The Human Resources Coordinator supports a broad range of human resources functions including, but not limited to: recruitment, employee relations, benefits and leave administration, HRIS, workers’ compensation and safety in compliance with policies and procedures, state, federal and other regulations. Although they may have a primary function assigned, they are expected to be able to perform across all functions and duties and may, at times, be asked to perform tasks under multiple functions. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional HR support. The HR Coordinator exercises sound judgment in assessing personnel matters, appropriately escalating issues based on risk, complexity, and organizational impact. This position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to operate effectively across multiple HR functions in a fast-paced environment. Coordinator: Entry to Intermediate Level; Performs a broad range of HR duties under close to moderate supervision. Performs simple to complex transactional tasks, data entry, and customer service support while developing and applying knowledge of HR laws and policies. Senior Coordinator: Advanced level; Operates with a high degree of independence, handling complex and sensitive HR matters. Serves as a resource to staff and managers, and exercises advanced judgment in decision-making and issue escalation. Works with program management on interpretation and administration of organization policies and procedures. Assist in the fulfillment of the Organization’s vision and mission.
