We have an opportunity in our Vonore, TN manufacturing plant for a Human Resources Coordinator who provides essential administrative and operational support to the HR department and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of employee programs, accurate recordkeeping, and timely coordination of HR activities. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in business or related field
  • 2 years related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills, able to work well under pressure and manage several tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision
  • Ability to handle confidential information and maintain the highest legal and ethical standards
  • Basic knowledge of applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to speak and understand Japanese preferred to support expat employees.

Responsibilities

  • Data entry for work reports and other essential data entry.
  • Coordinate monthly birthday meetings, service recognition events, and retirement celebrations.
  • Create and distribute new hire certificates and service recognition certificates.
  • Sort and distribute incoming HR and company mail daily.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date personnel files in accordance with company policy and compliance standards.
  • Process Form I‑9 documentation, verify employment eligibility, and maintain all required records in compliance with federal regulations.
  • Plan catering and event needs for HR meetings, training sessions, and employee events.
  • Prepare new hire packets, ensuring all required documents are included and completed.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including data entry, filing, and responding to employee inquiries.
  • Provide HR assistance, documentation guidance, and communication support to expat employees to help them adjust successfully.
  • Assist mail distribution, fax machine, copy machines
  • Provide telephone relief as needed
  • Work daily overtime and Saturdays and/or Sundays when directed by immediate supervisor or, as necessary, to complete essential job duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
