About The Position

The Human Resources Business Partner works strategically and serves as a key member of the site senior leadership team, providing trusted advice and coaching to drive organizational success. You will define, develop and implement talent strategies and solutions tailored to the site, ensuring alignment with the Global HR Operating model. You will collaborate with the HR Centers of Expertise to deliver consistent and effective HR services, including performance management, organizational design, employee relations, benefits and compensation, talent acquisition, talent management, training, compliance, equality and diversity.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of proven experience as an HR Business Partner, with a strong track record of aligning HR strategies with business outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Deep understanding of organizational dynamics, change management, and HR best practices.
  • Strong background in talent management, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Skilled in leading and managing cross-functional projects with clear objectives, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Proficient in HR technology systems (e.g., HRIS, Performance Management Tools) and able to leverage data and analytics to improve HR practices.
  • A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22. C.F.R. §120.15 is required.

  • Master’s degree and/or HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the Site Leadership Team, you will develop a strategic workforce plan and headcount budget. Leveraging insights from talent assessments, MI, and succession planning, you will evaluate skill needs to build a strong talent pipeline. Additionally, you will address training requirements in partnership with the Learning and Development team.
  • Working closely with the Talent Acquisition team, you will implement talent attraction strategies and early careers programs to meet business needs. By mentoring participants, you will ensure a positive experience, addressing issues and optimizing development opportunities to help them achieve their career aspirations after completing the program.
  • You will foster positive relationships between Ontic and external employee bodies, such as collective bargaining groups in Europe. You will mediate workplace conflicts, resolve disputes using sound judgment, and manage legal processes as needed. Your role includes de-risking serious employee relations issues, promoting a positive work environment, and upskilling managers on ER knowledge and local legislation. Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders and provide solutions to people and business challenges.
  • Champion Ontic's culture and values on-site, promoting workplace inclusion and fostering a positive, ethical environment. Partnering with stakeholders, you drive initiatives to boost employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention. You support leaders in implementing and evaluating engagement action plans.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to Ontic HR policies, local employment laws, industry regulations, and the HR operating model. Proactively mitigate risks by analyzing and improving processes, driving resolutions, and embedding changes for continuous improvement.
  • Foster a performance-driven culture by implementing robust, outcomes-focused performance management systems. Oversee the annual performance cycle, talent reviews, succession planning, and development planning, ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Collaborate with leaders to recommend growth activities for talent and review talent pools quarterly to maximize potential and align with business priorities.
  • Champion talent programs in collaboration with site leadership and the Learning and Development Business Partner, tailoring development initiatives to business needs. Deliver and facilitate local programs, ensuring evaluation and follow-up. Identify development opportunities, provide ad-hoc training, and optimize/signpost available learning resources as needed.
  • Guide leaders and managers in developing their leadership capabilities and navigating people’s challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Compensation and Benefits team to ensure local benefit packages align with Ontic values, are site-appropriate and legal, and support talent retention and attraction. Operating within the global compensation framework, you'll manage local activities such as bonus and salary reviews, and benchmarking to ensure equity.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to manage HR budgets, including headcount, training, and other HR expenses.
  • Interpret and use data to facilitate ‘story telling’ and decision making. You will optimize the use of business and people KPIs to analyze to drive performance.
  • Drive successful change programs and organizational design, ensuring a positive employee experience as the organization grows and evolves.
