About The Position

The HR Associate provides support across the full spectrum of Human Resources functions. This role offers broad generalist exposure, including cross-training in recruitment, leaves administration, payroll, employee relations, benefits, and HR operations. The HR Associate plays a key role in supporting a positive employee experience at our Watertown and DeWitt locations while assisting the HR team with ongoing projects and initiatives.

Requirements

Associate’s degree or two (2) years of related experience required
Ability and willingness to travel overnight up to 5% to our DeWitt, Iowa facility

Responsibilities

Support full-cycle recruiting, including candidate phone screens, interview scheduling, and communication with hiring managers and hiring committees
Assist with onboarding activities, including new hire orientation, benefits overview, and time management training
Participate in career fairs and recruitment events at local colleges and high schools
Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of employee engagement initiatives such as events, recognition programs, and onsite activities
Maintain accurate data and working knowledge within the HRIS system
Develop and maintain knowledge of applicable federal and state labor laws
Cross-train and provide support across HR functions, including: Payroll processing and timekeeping, Leaves of absence administration, Employee relations and employee communications, Benefits administration and enrollment
Collaborate with the HR team on various projects that enhance employee retention, engagement, and HR processes
