About The Position

The HR Associate supports the Human Resources department with a primary focus on recruiting and onboarding, while gaining broad exposure to core HR generalist functions. This role is well suited to someone early in their HR career who is eager to build a foundation across the full employee lifecycle, including sourcing and hiring, onboarding, training coordination, and employee engagement. The HR Associate reports to the HR Director and works alongside a counterpart HR Associate, partnering closely to support the organization's locations statewide.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Comfort learning and navigating a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Genuine interest in growing a career in Human Resources, with a desire to develop broad HR generalist experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ADP or another HRIS platform preferred.
  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 1-2 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or a related administrative role preferred; internship experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

  • Support full-cycle recruiting using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communication.
  • Assist hiring managers with interview logistics and help maintain an organized, positive candidate experience.
  • Provide onboarding support for new hires, including new hire paperwork, ADP/HRIS setup, orientation scheduling, and first-week check-ins.
  • Maintain accurate employee data in ADP (or company HRIS), including new hire entries, status changes, and recordkeeping.
  • Support the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), including assigning courses, tracking completion, and troubleshooting access issues.
  • Help coordinate training sessions and development programs for employees, including scheduling, materials, and attendance tracking.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruiting and training records in compliance with company and legal requirements.
  • Support the Culture Committee, including planning and coordinating employee engagement activities and events.
  • Partner with the counterpart HR Associate to ensure consistent coverage and support across both Austin and Bastrop locations.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including filing, data entry, and preparing HR documents and reports.
  • Help respond to routine employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures, escalating as appropriate.
  • Support other HR generalist functions as assigned to build well-rounded HR experience.
