About The Position

Lifesteps, a local, non-profit agency based in Butler, is currently hiring a full-time, entry-level Human Resources Associate to work with the Staff Development team in Butler, PA. This role involves supporting staff with training, documentation, and administrative tasks while ensuring agency and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • A minimum of one (1) year administrative, clerical, training and development, or human resources assistant experience
  • Possess excellent thought processing, problem solving skills and the ability to work with confidential information in a responsible manner.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently.
  • The ability to communicate information clearly, both written and orally, to a diverse audience utilizing strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete moderate computer tasks including a proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Current driver’s license and the ability to travel for business utilizing personal vehicle.
  • Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 & FBI clearances
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree in Human Resources, Office or Business Administration or related field.
  • HRCI (PHR or SPHR) or SHRM (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) certifications.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and track employee required trainings.
  • Track employee certifications, licenses and other required documentation.
  • Ensure agency and regulatory compliance for HR documentation.
  • Ensure compliance of personnel files.
  • Prepare for, attend and participate in all licensing/audits.
  • Create and distribute regularly scheduled and/or required reports.
  • Provide helpful support and customer service to staff.
  • Assist employees with ordering clearances.
  • Schedule training dates for employees.
  • Gather new employee documents at weekly orientations.
  • Administrative tasks.
