About The Position

The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day, administrative human resources operations, while demonstrating and supporting Pennant’s Core Values of CAPLICO. The job may be performed at a desk and require heavy use of office equipment, including computer, tablet, and phone. Work schedule may occasionally require evening, night, holiday, or weekend assignments. Minimal travel may be required to visit Company meetings. Schedule may occasionally require evening, night, holiday, or weekend work.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated; able to work independently with minimal oversight while collaborating as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and safe driving record.
  • Ability to demonstrate and communicate company’s CAPLICO Core Values.

Nice To Haves

  • BA/BS Degree in HR-related field of study.
  • At least two (2) years of experience working in an administrative role in a healthcare-related environment.
  • Familiarity with Workday or other HRIS.
  • Experience supporting and maintaining relationships with both an on-site and remote workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Manage HR-related physical mail, electronic mail, phone calls, and other correspondence.
  • Assist with new hire orientation.
  • Support onboarding by completing the employer section of Form I-9s and verifying documentation for new Synergy Shared Services employees.
  • Help agencies respond to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
  • Perform HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.
  • Assist employees and leaders with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support Synergy leaders with operational and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Maintain confidential, electronic employee files.
  • Assist with general benefits and payroll questions, referring to Company Resources as needed.
  • Assist HR Generalist with projects as needed.
