About The Position

The People Operations group is the center of excellence responsible for the overall employee experience as relates to Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Benefits, Employee Engagement, Learning & Development and Talent Management. This role will maintain excellent customer-service standards for the P&C department by responding to employee, candidate, and new hire inquiries and requests for client groups, escalating to Business Partners, Regional Talent Partners or appropriate P&C team leads as needed. The role involves performing administrative tasks relating to Talent Acquisition, including coordination of interview schedules, travel, expenses, communication, data entry, and offer letter generation. It also includes performing all onboarding tasks such as I-9 processing, onboarding swag orders, data entry, and providing consistent and relevant communications with new hires. The role administers the background and drug screening process for new hires, monitors results, and consults the Director, People Operations on potential legal risks. Additionally, it receives and processes all payroll changes and employee status changes, maintains electronic employee files, and performs and rectifies regular audits of employee data to ensure data integrity. The role also reconciles and communicates PTO, supports logistics for new hire orientation, We Are Suffolk, Benefits Open Enrollment, Flu Shot clinics, and other P&C programs and events. It may coordinate Employee Service Awards, Baby Bundles, and other national employee-related programs. The role contributes to department process improvement and SOP updates, providing proactive solutions to enhance department operations. It supports the processing of invoices and expenses, working closely with corporate and project accounting. The role may coordinate national communications regarding People & Culture with the Marketing and Internal Communications team, specifically but not limited to New Hire and Promotions, general benefits information, and other company-wide communications. It performs all administrative tasks relating to terminations, including communications, data entry, and coordination with payroll. Finally, it serves as back-up for other P&C Operations Associates’ client groups based on workload, need, and/or time off.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or related field
  • 2 - 4 years of direct human resources experience (shared services center or other call center/customer service experience is desired)
  • Willingness to provide best in class customer service
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, OneDrive)
  • Comfort level with technology (Oracle, iCims, Saba)
  • Collaborative, service-oriented, and results-driven
  • Highly organized; able to prioritize and multi-task
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Resourceful with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Sound business judgement

Responsibilities
