About The Position

The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources team and assists with employee onboarding, recordkeeping, employee communications, and general HR operations. This role helps ensure HR processes are completed accurately and efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and providing excellent customer service to employees and candidates. This is an onsite position at our Denver Tech Center-Denver CO office.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in recruiting or human resources, preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable with public speaking, especially in video conference settings.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, candidates, and other stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks independently.
  • Strong critical thinking and reasoning abilities, with the capacity to navigate complex or ambiguous situations.
  • Capable of applying common sense and sound judgment to carry out instructions, both written and oral.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, seeking assistance when needed to ensure tasks are completed effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic understanding of business operations, state, and federal employment laws.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources department, including filing, data entry, document preparation, scanning, and record maintenance.
  • Create and maintain employee personnel files, ensuring documentation is complete, organized, and accurately retained.
  • Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire paperwork, monitoring completion of required documents, and assisting with new hire orientation activities.
  • Enter and update employee information in HR systems and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Process employment verification requests accurately and timely.
  • Assist with distributing HR communications, announcements, benefit reminders, and company notices.
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment resources and follow up on required documentation during enrollment periods.
  • Initiate and monitor background checks for annual screening requirements.
  • Assist with employee recognition activities, company events, meetings, and distribution of company materials and SWAG.
  • Provide front desk and reception coverage during Receptionist absences and assist with welcoming visitors, new hires and candidates.
  • Assist with maintaining HR office supplies and ordering materials as needed.
  • Support HR projects and special assignments as directed.
