The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for staff and organizing the work of the department. This position requires the ability in record keeping, fiscal responsibility, verbal and written communication skills, training skills and working with people, accepting and giving corrective feedback, knowledge of management criteria, labor laws and skills in computer operations. Principal Activities: Open and maintain current and inactive personnel files on each employee Screening and testing (both instructional and drug) orientation of new employees Liaison for all fringe benefits that are available to each employee Training new and veteran employees The absence of specific statements of duties does not exclude those task from the positions if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment of the position.
