About The Position

As an HR Advisor, you will play a key role in providing first-level HR advisory support across a multi-site business in New Zealand and Australia. You will be involved in ER/IR cases, ACC claims management, and HR policy interpretation queries, learning and development activities helping to ensure a consistent and compliant approach across the organisation. Requirements

  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor or similar role.
  • Experience in a generalist HR advisory environment.
  • Strong employee relations and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine curiosity, growth mindset, and eagerness to learn and develop.
  • Sound knowledge of New Zealand and Australian employment legislation, or a willingness to build your expertise in this area.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine commitment to supporting people and driving great business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the HR Business Partnering team to provide advisory and administrative support across a range of HR activities.
  • Coach and support leaders through performance management processes and employee relations matters.
  • Assist with workplace investigations, including conducting interviews, collating investigation notes, and preparing documentation.
  • Support workplace change initiatives and organisational projects.
  • Contribute to the review and implementation of HR best practices and legislative updates across New Zealand and Australia.
  • Own and manage processes relating to work-related and non-work-related ACC claims, including developing process guides and toolkits.
  • Provide administrative support to the HRBP team on key employee and industrial relations projects.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Support the delivery of broader HR initiatives and projects as required.
