Requirements

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and good working proficiency in English.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Adaptability and initiative in a dynamic and evolving work environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills, sound judgment, autonomy, and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day human resources activities, including employee onboarding, personnel file administration, disciplinary actions, and workforce changes.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable legislation and regulations, including Québec’s Law 25 respecting the protection of personal information.
  • Support managers in the application of HR policies, performance management, conflict resolution, and employee relations matters.
  • Provide first-level guidance and support to managers to promote effective people management practices.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive, respectful, and engaging work environment.
  • Assist with the management of workplace injury, disability, and workers’ compensation claims.
  • Support the handling of grievances, internal investigations, and other labour and employee relations matters.
  • Conduct research, analyze HR data and key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare reports, and provide recommendations.
  • Assist in the preparation of activity reports and HR metrics and statistics.
  • Provide support to various HR functions and departmental projects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
