About The Position

Vertis Therapy is looking for a Human Resource Administrator at our corporate office in Noblesville, IN. Vertis Therapy provides Physical, Occupational, and Speech Language Pathology services. This is a Full-Time position with benefits, Monday to Friday. The Human Resource Administrator leads and directs the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including employee onboarding, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices, and handles insurance and 401k.

  • Associate degree in HR-related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
  • 5+ years’ related administrative experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve programs in a timely manner
  • Must have strong communication skills and be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, with employees, members of the management team, and in group presentations and meetings
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently
  • Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
  • Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback
  • Must be willing to travel on occasion

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking database systems an asset

Responsibilities

  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, retention, and succession planning.
  • Performs payroll biweekly
  • Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Assists with billing, acounts payable and receivable as needed.
  • Sorts through mail and forward as appropriate to employees
  • Assist with benefits enrollment
