Job Title: HR Administrator, 3-months Contract with a possibility of extension Reports To: HR Manager Department: HR Role Purpose: The Human Resources Administrator supports the daily operation of the HR Department and administers various HR processes. This role requires interaction with Microart employees at every level of the organization and external partners. Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, 24 per week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) Rate: $18/hour - $19/hour. This job posting is for an existing vacancy. Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent education/experience
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in HR
  • Possess a positive attitude and strong active listening skills with the ability to respond appropriately and demonstrate assertiveness when necessary
  • Proven self-starter with time management skills and the ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment with shifting priorities and strong attention to detail
  • Able to work autonomously while possessing strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills (both verbally and in writing)
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion, diplomacy and confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills, using suite of Microsoft Office and other related software programs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HRIS (Ceridian Dayforce) systems is asset

Responsibilities

  • Support Microart’s summer student program
  • Administer the HR email inbox, answering or redirecting inquires to the appropriate HR resource
  • Facilitate set-up for new department employees, liaising with various internal functions
  • Administer Microart’s benefit processes including updating HRIS and carrier website data
  • Provide support to the HR department
  • Liaise with employees regarding policies, procedures and other queries
  • Assist with general administrative support and contribute to other People initiatives as required
  • Assists with the recruitment process including short listing candidates, scheduling and preparing interview packages, interviewing, conducting reference checks and sending out regret letters
  • Responsible for producing job offer letters, verifying and completing change forms, and internal transfer paperwork and confirmation of employment letters
  • Prepares and submits documentation for employee appointments, terminations, transfers and other employee changes
  • Responsible for coordinating background checks using systems and outside agencies; gathering new hire paperwork
  • Assists with the preparation and delivery of new employee orientation
  • Responsible for new hire set up in HRIS and producing routine and adhoc HRIS reports
  • Conduct exit interviews and coordinate employee transition activities
  • Other duties as assigned
