About The Position

We are hiring a Human Resources Administrator to help support the daily operations of the Human Resources department. We're seeking a motivated, people-oriented professional who will help foster the dependable, relationship-driven culture we're proud of. Based out of our Metairie, LA office, this role plays a key part in supporting our team, assisting with office administration, and creating a positive employee experience from day one.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources or administrative support preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and applicant tracking systems preferred.
  • General knowledge of Human Resource responsibilities and functions.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with individuals at all levels within the organization, both internal and external to Human Resources.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
  • Prepare offer letters and new hire paperwork.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Serve as a point of contact for new hires before and during their first days.
  • Complete and verify Form I-9 documentation and maintain I-9 files in compliance with federal regulations.
  • Manage all administrative activities related to the new hire process from offer acceptance through the employee start date.
  • Maintain and update employee files with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, HR databases, and personnel files.
  • Generate HR reports and metrics as requested by management.
  • Assist with payroll-related documentation and employee status changes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all employee information and company information.
  • Process employment verifications and unemployment claims.
  • Assist with HR projects, training coordination, and company events as needed.
  • Update and maintain job descriptions as directed.
  • Support the HR team with projects, administrative tasks, and special initiatives as assigned.
  • Help ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and HR procedures.
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities, events, and internal communications.
  • Support performance review processes and training initiatives.
  • Assist with tracking certifications, training records, and compliance requirements.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide administrative support to the HR team.
  • Administer the administrative aspects of the termination process, including transferring files, updating HRIS, and coordinating with IT and Facilities.
  • Process and complete state unemployment forms accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Conduct separation tasks in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of office supplies; place orders to ensure the office is always well-stocked.
  • Coordinate catering and food orders for team lunches, meetings, and company events.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment.
  • Assist with administrative support for leadership and employees.
  • Distribute and organize incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
