About The Position

The Human Resources Administrative Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of HR, administrative, or office experience
  • Basic knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to handle data collection and entry accurately while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS/timekeeping systems including isolved, ADP and Paycom
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in human resources or related field preferred
  • manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of hiring and firing including coordinating with upper management
  • Assist with recruitment activities including job postings, applicant tracking, interview scheduling, and new hire documentation
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire onboarding and orientation
  • Maintain employee personnel files, HRIS records, and confidential documentation
  • Support timekeeping and payroll processes, including timecard review and corrections
  • Serve as an employee point of contact for basic HR-related questions and refer complex issues to the HR Manager
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee communications
  • Track employee leaves, attendance, and required documentation
  • Support compliance with company policies, labor laws, and internal procedures
  • Prepare routine HR reports and maintain department records
  • Assist with performance management processes as directed
  • Coordinate training sessions and maintain training records
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and internal communications
  • Promote and support employee engagement and rapport by assisting in breakroom operations during scheduled break periods
