This role is responsible for managing the daily administrative functions of the HR office, including benefits, hiring, transfers, terminations, and payroll. The position involves implementing the business plan for the area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, coordinating workloads, and ensuring associates complete required training. It also requires ensuring compliance with company HR policies, maintaining HR documents, and assisting with HR systems. The manager will identify associate, customer, and supplier concerns, supervise and develop associates and leaders, and manage and coordinate training for Distribution and/or Transportation associates. This includes identifying training needs, monitoring completion, and presenting training courses. The role also involves building relationships with stakeholders, supporting initiatives, identifying improvement opportunities, and promoting continuous learning. A key aspect is fostering a culture of belonging, attracting and retaining talent, empowering associates, and recognizing contributions. The role also emphasizes acting with integrity, upholding ethical standards, and supporting Walmart's goal of becoming a regenerative company.
